After yesterday's stage was cancelled by the organization for the motorbikes, this Sunday reserves an eighth stage of the Dakar with a timed section of almost 350 kilometres.
At a time when almost every rider in the GP Rally category has passed KP 247, Ross Branch (Hero Motosports Team Rally) is leading the stage with a time of 2h53m58s. Mason Klein (BAS World KTM Racing Team) takes second place 51 seconds behind the leader, while Daniel Sanders (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing) rounds out the top three (+1m45s).
As for the other two riders still in the top five, Adrian Van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda Team) is fourth (+4m13s). Pablo Quintanilla (Monster Energy Honda Team) is fifth (+4m46s).
