After Johann Zarco and Jean-Michel Bayle parted ways in 2019, when the rider prematurely left KTM, now it's the turn of the two frenchmen to end a collaboration that marked the 2022 season.
At the start of this last season, the idea was that Bayle would help Zarco over a MotoGP weekend: 'The objective with Jean-Michel is to change the approach to race weekends a little bit, to improve gradually during the sessions training and then be stronger in the race. I think he can help me just by focusing on the right things' , the #5 said at the time, now quoted by SPEEDWEEK.com.
However, the relationship between Zarco and Bayle is said to be over as MotoGP returns in february for pre-season testing. Who confirms the end of this relationship is Bayle.
'This message is to announce the end of my collaboration with Johann Zarco. I had a lot of things analyzing to work on for the 2022 season and I was counting a lot on this winter to improve it. Due to various reasons, it is impossible to put together my program and training strategy for this new season 2023. I knew that changing habits was a difficult thing to implement and it is with disappointment and a sense of unfinished challenge that this adventure ends. See you soon for new challenges and new adventures', Bayle wrote on his Facebook account.
It should be noted that Jean-Michel Bayle is a two-time motocross world champion when in 1988 and 1989 he triumphed in the 125cc and 250cc classes, respectively. He successfully made his way to the United States, where he won three championship titles, and in 1992 he made his Grand Prix debut. He was a regular in the paddock between the 1993 and 1997 seasons, in which he competed in both the 250cc and 500cc classes.
