Davide Brivio has made his mark in MotoGP not only with Yamaha but also with Suzuki as Team Manager. But the Italian has never stopped keeping a close eye on rivals such as Honda, and argues that the Japanese manufacturer needs to modernize.
Brivio accuses Honda of lacking initiative and simply copying what other manufacturers do, he told Slick Magazine, quoted by AS:
- Honda continues to use the old method: they copy what they see around them and throw various components into the fray to understand the results, but they don't move forward in that way. The on-track team must become an integral part of the MotoGP programme, with great synergy between the manufacturer and those on the track: they must stop being two different groups.
